The nearest beach to Wheel Farm Cottages is the sandy beach at the village of Combe Martin, just a 5 minute drive away. This family friendly beach is well-known for its rock pools but also offers fishing, kayaking and swimming and is close to the village shops and amenities.
Less than a 15 minute drive away is the award winning Woolacombe beach, famous for its three miles of golden sands and clean waters that attracts families and surfers alike. This family friendly beach has plenty of space for everyone to enjoy, whether it's building sandcastles, rock pooling, sunbathing, paddling in the sea or surfing. Dogs are also allowed on this beach but restrictions apply during peak season.
Further along the coast from Woolacombe is Croyde beach, a haven for water-sport enthusiasts. Surfing, kite-surfing and kayaking area just a few favourites for its visitors to enjoy.
The picturesque village of Croyde has a great choice of pubs, restaurants and cafés, as well as several surf shops.
Between the villages of Braunton and Croyde, Saunton Sands offers a golden beach that welcomes dogs all year round. These three miles of sands are backed by Braunton Burrows, a unique formation of sand dunes and again a popular choice for dog walkers, families and surfers.
