A gorgeous three-bedroom ‘upside down’ cottage, which has been cleverly renovated from the original old water mill building. With its living area upstairs, the cottage takes advantage of the lovely countryside views. Mill-Wheel also benefits from its own private patio and garden.
Mill Wheel is a fantastic three-bedroom cottage lovingly converted from part of the original water mill building. The two-storey property comfortably accommodates up to five and is the perfect base for families or couples.
To take advantage of the lovely countryside views, Mill Wheel has been designed with an upside-down layout, meaning the living area and kitchen are on the first floor.
The spacious living area is packed full of character, including wood beams, exposed stone walls and a high vaulted ceiling. The lounge has three comfy sofas centred around the handy wood-burning stove, there is also a TV with Freeview and a DVD player. Behind the lounge is the dining area where a country pine table comfortably seats up to five.
The kitchen is tucked away to one side and is equipped with an electric oven, a fridge with small freezer compartment, a dishwasher and a microwave. If needed guests are also welcome to use the shared onsite laundry room where there is a washing machine and tumble dryer.
From the living area doors open out on to a private patio and garden, which is mainly laid to lawn and is fenced on two sides and has a hedge on the other, making it secure for children.
Downstairs at Mill Wheel there are three nice bedrooms, these include a double, a twin and a single.
In the double bedroom there is a fitted wardrobe, a dressing table and mirror. The twin bedroom has two full size single beds and is great for either adults or children, it also has a large chest of drawers and a fitted wardrobe. Finally, the single bedroom has views over the old water wheel, under bed storage and a fitted wardrobe.
All three bedrooms share the family bathroom, which has a large walk-in shower, a wash basin and a WC. Please note there is no bath at Mill Wheel Cottage.
If staying at the cottage with young children, guests can request travel cots (bedding not provided), high chairs and stair gates at no additional cost. Please ask for these when booking.
Included within the price of the cottage all bed linen and towels are provided, we do however ask that guests do not use the towels from the property at either the beach or swimming pool, instead we request that you bring your own beach/swimming pool towels.
For groups of 8-10, Mill Wheel can be booked in conjunction with Upper Mill and Lower Mill, which are all located within the same old water mill building.
Please note that floor plans are for reference only, the position of furniture is subject to change.
